I'd say if they could sing, they would have been booted off in the first week! They would just be too annoying! The fact that they are creating such a hype makes them good! The problem with this industry is that all they want is viewers - and millions tune in every week to see if they get booted off!

As they say, there is no such thing as bad publicity!

Amp Sound Systems, I'm sure you're just being modest. On a slightly different thread though, I think Susan Boyle did a great job on 'Wild Horses'. Have you heard it yet? Now, SHE has a good set of pipes.

I suppose, at least Joe McElderry can sing but again he's one of those 'big' singers that they always seem to go for. If you think of some of the best-loved singers down the years, willie nelson, bob dylan, neil young, emmylou harris, darach o cathain the connemara sean nos singer,even someone like florence and the machine would be turned down. Those shows have a diva/divo template and if you don't fit, don't bother.
