Ha ha what a piece of junk!! I have a feeling this topic will receive quite a few bitches about that ridiculous operating system that shower of shags released!
I have been running Linux myself on all the gig laptops for the last year. Ubuntu just works, and does what you ask it to. Where in Windows it would ask "Are you sure you want to play this song?". No... I clicked it cos I wanted to hear you moan about playing it.... I know its Beyonce, but thats what the director asked me to play... Please just play it!!!
The only reason I havnt changed over to Ubuntu on the office computers is Microsoft Exchange. It handles every one of the hundreds of emails we get every day, and also lets us assign jobs to certain engineers and everyone knows who is doing what when.
We are also running a Windows Server in the office, and although it takes an hour to restart, it does serve us well. I think its Vista that toppled everyone over the edge.
